Thema ist diesmal Marken in den USA. Ich habe den Markenanwalt Ken Suzan aus den USA zu Gast. Daher führen wir das Interview auf Englisch.
Rolf Claessen – English: Since our virtual owner of a dance studio Maria Musica has grown her first studio into a nationwide successful chain of dance studios, she is thinking of expanding to the US for teaching traditional dances like Waltz, Foxtrot, etc. She already found a nice vacant dance studio in Minneapolis for rent and now wants to protect her trademark Marimba in the US. Since I am not a US trademark attorney, I am glad that I am joined by Ken Suzan in Minneapolis, trademark attorney at Barnes & Thornburg LLP with offices all over the US. He is an experienced trademark prosecutor. Before his current position, he was partner of the firm Hodgson & Russ and headed the trademark department. He received his J.D. from Albany Law School and holds a masters degree from the New York University. Beside his recent appearance in the Wall Street Journal, he is a prolific writer of articles in various magazines and journals. Ken, good to have you here in the podcast! Thanks for joining me!
